Lush
A book about a teenage girl, Sam, whose father is an alcoholic, mother is obsessed with yoga, and little brother just wants everyone to be happy. She writes a note to a random girl in the library because she doesn't want her friends to know about her dad. All her friends care about are the boys in their grade and once they started junior high she lost her best friend, Charlie Parker. She ends up getting a letter back, but not from the person she was expecting. She doesn't really care who's writing back to her she just wants someone to talk to. They talk about anything and everything, but as far as I've gotten in the book they still haven't met yet.

I feel like this would be a really good book. It's sort of showing how superficial people can be, but in reality, people really do have problems. This is getting added to my list of books to read!
